Science fiction was coming to life, right in front of me. While listening to a college recruitment presentation about stem cell-generated organs and mind-controlled prosthetics, I was immediately reminded of my grandmother’s severe brain injury. Almost overnight, I could barely recognize the fiery, crossword-loving, multilingual person I once knew. The idea of being able to leverage these biotechnologies to help others, like my grandmother, take a more holistic approach to recovery was so powerful that I was hooked!

 

With a Biomedical Sciences PhD under my belt, I relocated to San Francisco to immerse myself in its vibrant biotech ecosystem. There, I joined a leading neuroscience lab as a postdoctoral fellow, where I honed my expertise in crafting compelling grant proposals and presentations. In the span of just 3 years, my projects had secured $14 million funding for cutting-edge Alzheimer’s disease research. While fundraising posed a challenge for many of my peers, I thrived when tasked with raising capital, jumping at the chance to transform complex research into compelling narratives.

 

Now operating independently, I specialize in securing funding for trailblazing biotech companies and impactful non-profit research foundations. Whether I’m crafting white papers, grant proposals, pitch decks, or conference materials, I strive to ensure my clients’ message resonates with high profile investors and funding agencies.
